Family in Korea Day 7: Everland

Here comes the Big Day!

When you talk about roller coasters, extreme rides, other thrillers or just theme park, my family (especially my sisters and I) won't let this kind of place just pass away without visiting.  And thanks to our beloved father who would never let a vacation pass without visiting a theme park.
Welcoming Tulips at Everland Entrance

Everland is like the Disneyland of Korea.  But of course, without the "dream come true" experience and the "magic" that Mickey Mouse and the rest of his friends are giving us.  Count of me, a person would never get tired of coming back to Disneyland even if he has visited the place thousand times.

We got up early and prepared ourselves for the much-awaited day, the highlights for my sisters' (kids would just love to go to theme parks while adults would prefer shopping and going around) vacation in Korea.  The trip from home to Everland, as mentioned in my previous post, it's around 3hrs by subway and bus.  It's a hell of a trip!  But it doesn't matter for us (more on them since this is my 4th time in Everland and when I wrote this blog, I've been there 5x already) as long as we reach this Korea's version of Disneyland.

How about the way to Everland, the entrance tickets, park hours and other information? How do we go to Everland? How much are the entrance tickets? What time does they open and close? I will tell you more about this in my next blog.  But if you are so excited, you can check out their website for details: Everland.

During our visit, it was the Tulip Festival for the Spring and so when we arrived there, astonishing colorful roses welcomed us in the park.  My family started taking photos even just at the entrance (a very small part of the entire flower garden) while I purchased their ticket. (Yes, their ticket because I had an Annual Pass Membership. hahaha!)

When we entered, they started taking pictures of the place just like this:

We had our break at the burger shop inside the theme park.  And as expected, it is quite expensive compared to the shops outside the park.  Yes, we are inside the park already and we can't do anything about it.  But it didn't stop us from eating, we were all hungry and we need to recharge for the afternoon's activity.

Aside from taking pictures, we tried different rides and attractions, from the high-speed roller coasters to amazon express that will make you wet to crazy route like "amazing race" for kids to some horror haunted houses to just watching the parade performance among many other rides.  And just like any other amusement park, you have to queue for 15minutes to 150minutes depending on how exciting the ride is for the visitors and experience the attraction for just 3minutes.  Anyways, what matters would be the experience!

After the breathtaking rides, we had a walk in the famous flower garden, the highlight for this spring season trip, Tulip Festival.  Then back to another photo shoot in those beautiful flowers.

Next stop was the Safari World.  You don't have to be in Africa to see those wild animals like Lions, Tigers and White Tigers,  Liger (Lion+Tiger), Polar Bears and Bears, Kangaroos and other wild species.  My family enjoyed seeing those animals but they never know that there are more animals on other seasons like Elephants, Giraffe, Zebra, etc. (I saw those animals during my previous visit. They got those animals due to the cold weather).

The entire day was all worth it. We left the park around 8:00pm (a little earlier than the closing time) but we really enjoyed our stay there.  Also, we still need to go home for another 3hour trip so we arrived home at 11:00pm, dead-tired. LOL!

To summarize this day, it's all about playing! We just played and played and played and played.

  1. Hi! We've been to Hong Kong Disneyland and to Universal Studios in Singapore. Would you still advise us to visit Everland or are they all just similar? Thanks! and nice blog! =)

    1. Hi, thanks for dropping by my blog ;]
If you are fond of going to theme parks, or enjoy riding extreme rides, then you should try to visit Everland. You would experience the world's steepest wooden roller coaster there. But make sure you are willing to line up for so long most especially on peak days. But if not, then HK Disneyland and USS is enough. I've been to HK Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Resort and USS and I still enjoy going to Everland. In fact, I've been there 5 times during my 11months of stay in the KPop country ;]
