Everland: In Detail

Everland is the Disneyland version of Korea. It is located in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do Province, South Korea and the largest theme park in the country.  It has so many attractions with T Expess as the biggest ride, the steepest roller coaster in the world. It also has a stunning 4Seasons Garden that shows a beautiful scenery of different kinds of flowers (exceptionally nice on Spring and not available on Winter) Safari World with different kinds of wild animals inside (perfect on Summer because some animals need to hibernate on Winter).

By the way, there is also a Caribbean Bay within the Everland Resort. It is an indoor and outdoor water park in South Korea and the largest in the world as well.

Way to Everland / Caribbean Bay:The easiest way is bus, and I suggest to take the bus because taxi would be really expensive since its outside Seoul already.  There are many ways to reach there by bus but I would tell you three, depending on where you come from:1. Gangnam Area
  1. Take the Subway to Gangnam Station Line 2 (Green Line)
  2. Use Exit 10 and walk around 350m (in front of Krispy Kreme)
  3. Take Bus 5002 going to Everland Resort bus stop.
*Travel Time: 45min*Interval: Approximately 15min*Fare: 1,800W

2. Jamsil Area
  1. Take the Subway to Jamsil Station Line 2 (Green Line)
  2. Use Exit 6 and the bus stop is just near the exit
  3. Take Bus 5800 going to Everland Resort bus stop
*Travel Time: 40min*Interval: Approximately 20min*Fare: 1,800W

3. Suwon Area
  1. Take the Subway to Suwon Station Line 1 (Dark Blue Line)
  2. Use Suwon Station Underground Exit 7 and the bus stop is on your right facing the station
  3. Take Bus 66 going to Everland Resort bus stop.
*Travel Time: 1hr 30min*Interval: Approximately 20min*Fare: 1,500W

The Everland Resort bus stop can easily be spotted because the buses would definitely stop in the place and you would see a difference ambiance in the area already.  Also, a lot of passengers are going there because I believe that the bus route is especially made for Everland and nearby areas.

  2. hi there! may i ask- to get into everland, do i look at the passport price or the admission price? kinda confused. thank you so much:)

    1. Hi! Thanks for dropping by! Passport price means it is ride-all-you-can but expect the amusement where there are prices like in carnivals. But if you choose the admission, it's just the plain admission in the park and cannot ride the attractions like roller coasters, etc. I suggest take the passport even if you are not keen on riding because it's only a minimal different. You might get interested on some attractions in the end :)

    1. Hi, thanks for dropping by my blog ;]
If you are fond of going to theme parks, or enjoy riding extreme rides, then you should try to visit Everland. You would experience the world's steepest wooden roller coaster there. But make sure you are willing to line up for so long most especially on peak days. But if not, then HK Disneyland and USS is enough. I've been to HK Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Resort and USS and I still enjoy going to Everland. In fact, I've been there 5 times during my 11months of stay in the KPop country ;]

    1. Hi Mae! Thanks for dropping by!
That would be great. I've been to Everland on a winter as well. There would be snow sledge there for winter, and hopefully it will be snowing on your visit. By the way, it's already snowing in Korea. On Summer, it will be summer splash, and Spring will be the flower festival. Needless to say, I've been there on different seasons. ahaha! ;]

    1. Hey, thanks for dropping by! That's good to hear that your visiting Korea soon. Hmm. In my opinion, whether it's rainy or not, it's on your will on how to maximize your trip there. Maybe you can plan ahead, for example, make sure to have a clear bright day when visiting Everland. Then go shopping when it's raining. In this way, you will still have memorable stay in Korea ;]

  7. Hi~! I found your blog while getting info for our Korean trip this April. Great site btw! made us more excited for our trip to Kpop land! hehe! Could you advise if there are any buses that leaves late night from Everland? We found that there is a late night fireworks display and we just wanted to make sure that there will be buses that will return us back to Seoul! :D Thanks!

    1. Hi Jeramil, thanks for dropping by!
It's really great to see KPop land and KPop culture itself in the country where it all started. HAHA! Of course, there are buses that leave late night (Everland closing time), but make sure you leave after the fireworks, making time for traveling from Everland Park itself to the bus stop (you still need to take the shuttle bus from the main park to the bus stop for Seoul). But for sure, there are. I just don't have the exact schedule ;]

  8. hi
want to know which theme park is best for kids 6-10yrs old Everland or lotte. if we will arrive in korea around april 14-19 meron pa kayang cherry blossom festival. will it be cheaper if we take taxi from Namsam area for 12 pax or taking subway and bus is still cheaper.
    thanks

    1. Hi Joan,
I suggest Lotte for kids between 6-10yo because they have indoor rides and its within Seoul area. For Everland, you have to travel around an hour to reach the place and more rides suitable for adults like the T Express, world's steepest wooden roller coaster. It will be an experience and very easy to take the train but for short distances, taxi can be cheaper. It really depends on your origin and destination. Hope this helps ;]

  9. separate ba ang bayad sa everland at caribbean bay?

    1. Hi Jasper,
Yes, separate fees for Everland and Caribbean bay. Carribean bay is like an indoor/outdoor resort while Everland is a theme park ;]
